They came up with a way to control people. A way so subtle people wouldnt even realise they were being controlled.
Countless words are spoken. Books are printed claiming fiction as fact.
A building is built. A following is gathered. Rules and instructions are passed down the hierarchy.
The leaders are selected. Noone knows on what basis, yet they follow blindly assuming they know better
Recitations follow. They say what they are told, and like zombies they are controlled.
No questions asked. People who challenge the authority are labelled blasphemers. Those that believe without questions are true followers.
The leader is blessed with many gifts. Promises are made indicating that the more the followers give, the more they receive.
The leader is hypocritical. Excuses are made because he is human.
The leader is a god. He says go and they go. He says rise and they rise. He even tells them when to close thier eyes.
They came up with a way to control people………and they called it religion.
