‘You seem a little distracted, that’s all.’
‘I’m sorry. What were you saying?’
She didn’t want to repeat the story, but she felt upset that he hadn’t been paying attention.
‘I was telling you about my new team member at work –‘
The waiter arrived with their food. Amanda watched as Nick picked at his plate distractedly.
Something was definitely wrong. She wondered if it was because she had made him delete all the photos of Susan from his phone yesterday.
‘Nick?’
He looked up, seemingly startled by her presence.
She excused herself and got up to go to the restroom. As she turned around, it all made sense.
Nick’s ex-wife Susan was sitting in the far left corner behind her. He had chosen this restaurant on purpose.
Yes, he was still in love with her.

Oh no!
Ah how sad and beautiful at the same time. Tolu you need to stop doing this to me. I just keep making up these stories in my mind. : ) Good job…you should put all these stories together dear, I need them on my Kindle.
